It may take a while...
for this broken heart to mend.
It may be some time...
before it learns to trust again.
~I'm not sure when~

Trusting fool I was...
to simply give my heart away.
Without pause to think...
that he may not intend to stay.
~For healing, I pray~

I hope you are patient...
for the process may be long.
I think you may be the one...
who restores my soul and song.
~I know I can't be wrong~

I don't know how long...
it takes to heal a severed heart.
Maybe just a day or two...
and I can have a brand new start.
~I can offer you a part~

Time can heal all wounds...
I guess we'll wait and see.
But I simply can not tell...
how extensive the damage may be.
~Will you wait for me~

I'm not sure when.
For healing, I pray.
I know I can't be wrong.
I can offer you a part.
Will you wait for me....

Not ready for a relationship. Good things come in time. Waiting won't hurt if the relationship will be rewarding and fulfilling for both parties.  I would wait for a person like this if they could express themselves as good as you did in this work.
Very good.

Great pen - the words flowed beautifully with tons of meaning and truth.  It takes a long time to get over a broken heart.

Hi Tennessee Angel...

There was a good message here! It's not always good to jump right in, and if love is meant to be, than time doesn't matter.
              Great job!!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

I do not know the why and how of the reason why I had not read any of your works for a long time since the last one that I had read....

But now that I have got around reading this one... I am spellbound...

Sudhir -- That is so sweet of you!  I have read everything that you have posted and your talent simply astounds me.  Thank you for taking the time to read my work.

Wilfred --  A must read?!?  Wow, that's a compliment and a half.  I do so appreciate a comment like that from a poet of your caliber.
