One moments bliss
Becomes my heart transparent
Secrets shared of this
Are all to long apparent.
What mocks me angel?
Is it my love forsaken
Or the loneliness I've kept
That weeps, my soul taken.
Not the shadow that comes
From moon lit nights comfort
Cover my eyes, softly
And bring me solice.
That my journey just begins
What with, my endurance
Through tears that sting my eyes
And the heart tugs my effort.
A promise to continue
For that I shall go,
But my mind will not wonder
Not far from her soul.
She comforts me still
Though sifferent now, not quite
My love still strong
Does she feel this, how she might.
Strongest of emotions beat
The blood is strong in me
And dawn comes thee, awaken
Your love still in me beating.

Hello Michael G.....

"Your love still in me beating"....such a beautiful line, full of emotion....You write with a tender touch, and it settles gently on the reader's soul!
                        This was lovely!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

it is those traces left behind that help our hearts heal ...
somethings never leave us ...
but those memories become wind in our wings and help to set us free ...
this is a very special poem Michael,
but then thats not surprising, as
so is the poet
take care
jm

I want to share something with you...
Traces ....

There are places inside our souls -
that have never been touched.
There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

"Dawn of Acceptance"
Your poem depicts a person struggling to deal with emotions.  Namely, a lost love.  Excellent title for this work of art.
