                 Clouds

Clouds fill our edge of space
With feather white of floating lace.
Of moisture formed in distill
In ever changing winds that mill.

To me the clouds are argosy
A theater full of fantasy.
Actors on a celestial stage
A performer that does not age.

Multi faced and of endless  tide
Changeable as Jekyll and Hyde
Warming forming terror and peace
To me it is my pure surcease.

Charging chariots on the breeze
Sailing shadows over the trees.
Tumbling forms in a constant roll
An Eden to my mind and soul.

I face my face unto the sky
And see and hear its lullaby.

As I write this I've got a number of thunder bumpers overhead.  Most of the action takes place in the mountains to the north, but its fun to watch and listen.  Sir Tabin... I think clouds are cool and so is your poem. I remember the first time I ever flew through them when I was seven.  Big white fluffy ones.  And the time I saw perfect cylindrical clouds in Montana... looking like tubular space ships.  And now I get to listen to my kids finding shapes in the sky.  Without clouds, the sky would be pretty damn boring. Yep! Ya gotta like dem clouds!

Hello Seymour....

Some of my favorite moments have been spent in watching the clouds. It's like Nature's canvas in the sky! I live in a place where the clouds are low enough to touch.
           Thank you for this one!

Seymour, There is nothing better than lying back on the grass on a warm summers day looking up and watching those clouds roll by.  This is wonderful.  Bonnie

All of our clouds, Sy, have lightning bolts coming out of them, as you well know  ...fodder for a follow-up poem.

Good writing, Sy......

The epitome of "Lost in Space", eh???

I like the couplet best again - So - When you write a poem, do you start with the end and work your way back???...

Look there in the distance, my dear
Look there, watch the little clouds,
Watch them closely as they come near,
Cover you with grace, the lovely clouds.

......

Seymour, your magical pen has made the clouds so beautiful indeed...

regards,

Seymour~
Such splendid cloud-cover !

I think Florida sure can produce a show-stopper
when it comes to the cloud formations.

So glad to have you share a look at them.
