In the space between moments

0 posted 2000-08-16 01:00 AM

Wind rushes 'pon my face
And sprays curl through the eve
While standing on the edge of time
In faith I no more believe...

Snow-tipped waters move with grace
A gentle throbbing in my soul
I lean upon a lighthouse rail
Gazing on the cobalt shine below...

I yearn to fly o'er the churning depths
And capture diamonds strewn around
To know the feel of an icy sheathe
Blotting out the endless sound...

But far beyond the perpetual thrash
In the twinkle of morning sun
I hear your laughter cross the sky
And for a moment...we are one...

With arms of breeze you carry me
Past Forever's granite stone
To rest on waters lined in light
And by Heaven's breath be blown.

Beautiful poem Krista! Especially so knowing the source of inspiration for this one. Dark begining and a wonderful, rising ending.. loved it much!

The beggining was so sad, so alone.......and then the ending...wow, what a beautiful ending. Beautiful read and your choice of words were perfect.

Your words flow so beautifully in this Krista ... superb descriptions, and what a lovely final line:

"And by Heaven's breath be blown."

Wonderful!

Best wishes,
