          The Angel Comes

Just close your eyes, my tired one,
Our peaceful journey has begun.

Take hold my hand, and feathered wing,
Lift up your heart to sweetly sing,
Beyond the pain that holds you here,
I'll guide your soul ... for heaven's near.

Fear not, the brilliant lights you see,
'Tis heaven's trail, we rise to meet.
Let calm and peace surround your heart,
For never do we truly part.

You leave behind on earthly plain,
Your memories, for they remain
Deep in the heart of those you love,
A treasured gift from God above.

The love and care you've given all,
Will stay with them, for evermore;
Within their hearts, you'll always stay,
In prayer, one tender thought away.

While in their time of deep despair,
We'll travel 'mongst them unaware;
Your presence felt by those will bring,
A whispered touch, from new-sprung wings.

For times they wish you to be near,
They'll feel your warmth, your love, your care;
A spark, in memory you'll ignite,
To drift them off to sleep at night.

A quiet touch, a lightened heart,
Is how they'll feel your love impart;
Beyond the bounds of heaven's door,
With angels as you drift and soar.

So gentle one, your time is here,
I've come to take away your fear;
This earthly body cannot mend ...
Your suffering, is at an end.

So take my hand, and follow me,
To rest in peaceful harmony,
Come soar with me above the clouds,
To heaven's gate, where love abounds.

Take comfort now, we've reached the light ...
Your soul released, to angel's flight.

Kit~

The sob catches in my heart ... remembering.

You leave behind on earthly plain,
Your memories, for they remain
Deep in the heart of those you love,
A treasured gift from God above.

Thank you.

Kit,

You have written with such strong emotion here.  I can feel exactly what you are feeling.  Excellent writing.  As long as we remember, they are never truly gone.

Fabulous writing Kit, and I'll admit to a tear or two as well. So very touching!
