An Ocean Uncrossed

I was frozen in time
on an island of ice
I was stilled in a sea full of frost
And though noble intent
of a dream sacrificed,
had embarked on an ocean uncrossed

But through dreaming's release
of love's lost lullaby
sung afar in yon sheltering fold
thus our evening arrives
weaving threads through the sky
painted ribbons of crimson and gold

As the silvering strands
slide their dance to the light
and your eyes are of radiant hue
and as chill falls away
from this narrowing night
let me bask in the blazes of you

"let me bask in the blazes of you."
let us bask in the glow of aurora borealis...
for your poetry is the blaze of the northern lights Claire...

Soft, gentle, and filled with your unique beauty within every line.  I especially loved--

"As the silvering strands
slide their dance to the light
and your eyes are of radiant hue
and as chill falls away
from this narrowing night
let me bask in the blazes of you."

Truly gorgeous, my poetic God.

Beautiful, beautiful as always....there should be a whole book somewhere with all of your lovely poems and words in it.  **sighs**    I'm never disappointed in your work.
