Sounds Of Sarah's Silence
~*Marge Tindal*~

In rushed sounds of silence
her hands moving with rapidity
Exclaiming all the beauty
her little eyes could see

With gestured fluttering
her finger movement escalates
combined with facial gestures
I could not help but relate

Without a spoken word
gesticulating the music of the nightingale
How upon the her heart
his song did softly assail

She felt the air vibrating
bringing her senses along
Seeing the joy on her face
I have no doubt
she heard the singing of his song

Her sounds of silent seeking
brings music to me in a new way
I listen with her senses
hoping to hear the new song of her day

Hi Marge.....

Every single thing you write has
       such an individual grace...........
         This was no exception....
              Very tender and beautiful!

OMG Marge...our Muse is one tonight within us...if and when you might have a moment...go see Passions in Prose, "Lady in White, Woman in Red"...are we NOT on the same wavelength of sorts?

By the way, splendid work, but I get SO repetitive with you!!!< !signature-->

Marge,
What beauty you put into each line. You created a vision of what she could hear
even if only with her fingertips.

Sunny1~
So appreciative of your thoughts - thank you.

MarkB~
Yesterday a new child was introduced to my mentoring group ...
Sarah is eleven.
They say she doesn't hear.
She doesn't think they are right.
And she spent the entire time convincing me
that she just may be right.
What a joy to see her tell her stories.
Needless to say ... she curled up in my heart.

Karilea~
I read your prose piece with awe.
Spirits move us both.
I don't think that surprises either of us.

Corinne~
Innocence, indeed.
Such pure love pours from this child.
Sure touches my heart.

ETHome~
Sarah 'talked' incessantly, trying to convince me
that she 'hears' ...
she just may be right !

BloomingRose~
You should see those fingers fly.
Whew !  Wore me out just watching.
But her face spoke volumes too.

*Thanks to each of you for letting me share Sarah with you.
No doubt you'll hear more of her from me.

There's a special corner reserved for 'sisters' ...
you bedded down a long time ago.

Thanks for reading Sarah's story.
She is such a delightful experience for me.
Love ya', sis.

Thank you for the sweet reply.

Sarah would inspire all of us to listen
more closely to the sounds around us.
She more than delights my senses with her
enthusiasm for life.

My goodness at the things life gives us
to appreciate.
Kind friends like you area among those treasures.

A very imaginative and romantic piece Marge.
I liked the way that you've put yourself in another person's place...that was brilliant!
Thanks for providing us another set of colorful rhymes that comes with a style that's too unique to be duplicated.

Peace,

Hey Marge!  This one hits home.  I think you already know I work at a radio station, so you can imagine the importance the sound of music is in my life.  To be struck deaf, to be cheated of so much in life, that would be a pretty hard thing to overcome. I'm glad Sarah is at least able to feel the music.  My best to you and yours.  Peace!

Marge...this hit so close to home for me...see I have a neice that had a stroke before she was even born...the doctors said she would never be normal..never walk talk hear...that was six years ago...thru love patience and endless hours of therapy she is as normal a child as any...she learned to sign before she spoke...and she would patiently teach her auntie love words from her heart to mine.

Sudhir~
Your reply pleases this tender heart.

Andrew~
As music is such a part of your life -
have you ever watched the joy on the face
of a deaf child as they 'hear' the vibrations
of the music ... ?
It's so exciting to see !
Thanks for the reply.

Paula~
These very special people 'hear' things
so tenderly ...
Thank goodness they share so willingly with us.
I'm glad you can share her pleasure.

JennE~
The versatility is written on my heart ...
by some loving people.
I'm happy to share these things.
Very pleased that you enjoyed it.

Marge. there are no words that will do justice to the way I feel about this poem. But let me just say, you brought a vibrancy about deafness and I could almost see the signing. I guess Sarah must really be deaf and smart.
Be well
