Molten Fudge Sundae

Swallowed minutes within courses of time
looming silently caressed in ignorance
spiced illusions to ward away possible pain
traced seasons twistedly delivered as wished.

Master actor caught within his own cruel act
blossomed statements force deceptive scenes,
here yet gone bouncing on loosened tightrope
tumbling emotions crushing his leading lady.

Yesterdays stiff taffy beginnings ever so sweet
today's sour milk curdled in apparent guilt
tomorrow's iced cream flooded serene destiny
became warped in his molten fudge sundae.

Excellent expression, Gloria. Illusions can be powerful making us believe whatever we need to believe at the time. This is really good, Gloria.

I was impressed by the title, chocolate-
lover that I am, and then I became
engrossed with the phrases and images!!
              Wonderfully tasty!!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!
