       “THE ENCHANTED FOREST”

Come with me my beloved and visit my castle,
that lies in the land of a magical island.
An enchanted forest does surround it,
and when it appears it will seem so grand.

Lovingly I take you there to perceive the mystery,
of all the enchantment and magic in the air.
Your sensual passions will become enhanced,
as they never before have, but now would dare.

We touch and take gentle hands together,
and without thinking they did intertwine.
I then whispered, “Would you be my princess?”
when you said "Yes", I felt so very divine.

We walk on the path through the woods,
a soft breeze scampers on, through each tree,
The birds are singing their songs so softly,
as they float in the sky, seeming reckless and free.

A special moment and all becomes quiet,
the gentle fairy angels arrive in their nightdress,
And they fly amongst us one at a time,
with tiny wings fluttering, in the stillness.

Watch them, as they wave their tiny wands,
small sparkles of fairy dust spreading all around!
Magical rains fall from surreal misty heavens,
and this enchantment starts to hold us spellbound!

We scurry through the tranquil forest,
with majestic trees swaying, as tall as the sky.
And beautiful bouquets of flowers blooming,
scenting the winding path, as we walk by.

Together we enter my castle hand and hand,
and I could see the sparkle in your eyes.
At that instant a magical kiss of our lips,
stirred so many emotions, you began to cry.

When our lips parted you then smiled,
I touched your face and it glowed with a hue.
You feel like the silkiness of a gentle rose bud,
that had just blossomed in the early morning dew.

Just then the fairy angels came for you,
to guide you, so you can begin your romance,
But first they will bathe you with their magical oils,
and you will be touched, with aromas of fragrance.

You then call, with your timid voice I know so well,
and I would come to you with eagerness and delight.
Because even though I have felt you in my arms,
you have never stood like this before me, in the night.

My hushed eyes, they gaze upon you,
and all your secrets will no longer be.
You stand there leaving nothing to my imagination,
and we stare at each other, only the way lovers see.

I take your hands in mine, and we lie together,
on a bed made of silken pillows and lace.
I feel your skin, soft to my loving touch,
and we're lost into each other, in this magical place.

I tenderly kiss your soft quivering lips,
and then whisper into your delicate ear,
About how much I love you my princess,
and how I’ve longed for you, to be so near.

Good morning, Bill.
I enjoyed your charming reverie very much. Some of your lines brought an especially nice sensation (poetically speaking, of course!)

I had written a poem called "The Forest" yesterday, but wow! I think I was in the wrong forest. This was beautiful. Very gentle and romantic.
A magical quality. IT was beautiful.

Hi Meadowmuse,
Thank you so much for your sincere and thoughtful comments. I also had an especially nice sensation when writing this, poetically speaking, of course! Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Irish Rose,
Kathleen, thanks for making a trip to my forest with me. While you were writing "The Forest", I was just on the other side of the mountain. And thank you for being so kind with your comments.

Good afternoon passing shadows...thank you for your generous comments. And it's ok, I'll meet you on the island!

Bill

I concur with everybody else - you are a hopeless romantic.  I am looking for that map into the Enchanted Forest too.  Maybe my prince charming is waiting for me there.  Beautiful words in a lovely story.  (Sigh!)

Hi ethome,

Ethome, you are being far to generous with your thoughtful comments. I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed puttig this piece together. As a matter of fact, I do have a map, and you are welcome to it. But only if you're ready for a fantascy. I do thank your very much for coming by.
