Chasms Of Tomorrow

~*Marge Tindal*~

Chasms of tomorrow
Open up and swallow me
Floating amidst cascading thoughts
Cadenced crunch of cacophonous sound
Spinning me 'round
Pulling me down
into the vortex of soul's seeking
Spiraling me into the light of eternity's grace
Serenity cloaked in ivory lace
lays just to the right of the lamb of fleece
Surrender me now to peace
Surrender me now to peace

Yea, though I walk toward
the promise of tomorrow
seeking the lamb of peace with no sorrow
Let me remember that peace can be found
in the joy of today
until I'm valley bound

Marge,

You've really outdone yourself this one.

"Serenity cloaked in ivory lace"

I loved that line.  What a beautiful image comes to mind.

Only Marge could take a walk into the valley of death and find the upward road!

Inspirational, you are, Marge!  I know, I know, I'm repeating myself, but it bears repeating.

Paula~
Thanks for perceiving that it came
as a prayer of peace.

Auguste~
Sometimes the words just wrap themselves
in the prettiest fabric and it clings to them.
Thank you for the kind words.

Corinne~
It was a walk of splendor for sure.
And 'inspirational' is okay by me !
Thanks, my friend.
