Underneath there wasn't much
just some memories and dust
inside my was heart was unused
abandoned and abused

I left it there to it's own devices
close the door and never minded
little did I know
the wind was about to blow

Like a breeze, soft and easy
like a hurricane off the coast
a breath of sweet sensation
across my soul

like the wind, never ceasing
pushing me to the point of dreaming
i couldn't resist the power you made
and your love blew me away

When the air settled down
I got up and looked around
nothing looked the same
like after a cool spring rain

I'll never forget the way you said
I'm so happy that we met
I wasn't even looking then
now look at all the love we're in

*******dedicated to the man so close to my heart, words will just never be enough................

This was beautiful.  I hope this man knows the intensity I can sense behind your words.

A sweet expression in poetry you share.

"I left it there to its own devices closed the door and neverminded little did I know the wind was about to blow"...  RED, this verse alone says it all!

Lovely read

Thank you Jamie!Pray for Rain was written by me and my co-writer Graham Andrews.  He lives in England and we co-wrote all 3 of those songs and he also made the music tracks single handedly.  I added vocals here in Nashville.  Took awhile to get them done, but Im sure happy you liked "pray for rain"
