Kindred Spirit
Kindred Soul
What thought crosses your mind?
As a smile plays across your features?

A sweet memory perhaps?
Of a good time long past?
Tell us, good friend

A face
As old as time
Yet, still young
Criss-crossed with laughing wrinkles

Time has passed you by
Leaving its mark upon you
And you still smile
By and by

I can see why this is one of your favorites. I love the idea you've imparted that the kindred of souls know no time or age confinement.

Artistic,

Wonderful writing here.  We all need to have a kindred spirit to help us along the way in life.  Welcome to Passions....hope to see more of your writing soon.
