I wish upon a meteorite to get you back!

Thinking of all that can be done and all
that can't be done is a trick learnt out
of obscurity and loneliness created by a
sad event. A tragedy that struck me like
white lightning, a blue electric jolt, a
streak of pain from an announcement that
you made: "I don't feel the same way any
more. It is not you, but is me who is to
be blamed. I'm sorry. With Love, as ever
as always". Thus, you had signed on that
fateful day leaving me marooned, under a
darkened sky, like a rudderless boat, an
aimless dart, thrown into shark-infested
seas. Pain and anguish were the feelings
on that night since when sleep has often
feared to come upon me. On this day, the
anniversary of our pre-marriage divorce,
I still cringe with the same pain gazing
at an empty sky, hoping disdainfully for
a shooting star to land on my doorsteps,
and an angel - you, to climb out of your
ethereal chariot, and land into my empty
arms joining me in a love-regained kiss.
I wish upon a meteorite to get you back!

~~~
This is very good. I guess there's only one font that will allow you to do that huh?
Sudhir~
Imitation being the best form of flattery
I'd say you've done it in quite good form
Such fun to cavort the across the avenues
of entrepreneurial forms for presentation
So stunning to see our poets inspiring us
toward new heights of enlightment in view
of the fact that we are all of the family
of the circle of friends that make up the
friendliest poetry family on the internet
Sudhir,
A poignant piece, and as always, wonderful to read from your perspective.
There are other stars waiting to be wished upon, and meteorites are only dead rocks.
Peace, friend.
WOW Sudhir, not matter what you turn your pen to the results are always amazing. This one is no different.
Sudhir-I will be back to this as I have many thoughts on your work once again....as you can see I am quite busy with the passing out of medals   and I am also trying to get to EVERYONE of the posts that were not of the challenge as because of my challenge many were swept away and I did not see that coming.  I will be busy pulling up ALL of them so please bear with me and know that I find this so intriguing and not one to be answered without clear thought.
Oh My!  This has to be my all time favorite of yours...and that's really saying a lot as I love so many of your pieces.  I had to go back and read this one several times and then I finally just printed it out.  It's wonderful!  Penned Perfection!  Great one, Sudhir!
