Heart-shaped satin jewel box-- pink,a swan on top. Edged with lace, beige with age, one hinge, and broken lock. Inside--a ballerina, posed, in perfect pirouette. Lift the lid--see her spin, mirror cracks her silhouette. Turn the key, begin beguine, if only to remember when... count the pearls of years, unfurled, then wind her up again. |

SERENITY~ This one's mine ! ! ! I have a treasured trove of old music boxes ... Timely ballerina's dance to the pleasured treasure of the music. Already printed - framed - and hung ! Oh, thank you ! wow, serenity - this is so well written! I love the way it brings the box to such clarity - I swear I can see every detail, and yet you write so cleanly and brief! Very nicely done. Wow! |
