Ocean Memories

When
one smells
the salt on
the air

and the
salted kiss
is
left behind

and
all that is
left

is
one,

alone,

one
may
cry
silent
salted
tears

Poignantly told, and a good play on words, too!

That burn into the wounds.  Couldn't resist that one

Great one Sunshine! Simple yet deep, and salty!

Hi Sunshine...

This was sad, but so very
              beautiful in it's own
                   sadness.....
             I ditto all the replies

You dunnit
AGAIN

... and here I ramble again ...

lingering
reminders
of
yesterday's
salted
tastes

a
simple
kiss
an
innocent
kiss

souls flew
high, fluttered
by new-born wings
eyes died
into the depths
of one another

postcarded
emotions
of
salinated
memories
emote

remnant
thoughts
of
existence
alone
remote

solitary
drop
of
water
alienated
from
the ocean

WhtDove--hence the term salted wounds----wounds that have already had salt rubbed into them

Karilea-You just leave me in awe everyday.  You are gifted with a talent that shines in all your brilliance.  Wonderful emotions cresting the shores today.  Lovely verse as sad as it is.   Looks like you inspire Sudhir as well.LOL

If I had read this truly beautiful poem before I posted "What's Wrong..."- I probably wouldn't have posted it at all
