her strength ... heat building under my green garb nervous sweat leaks its wettest wet be the strength -- carry the wind a life to bare, but no pain for me she nearly buckles under the strain pulsing veins ready for their toil blood's viscosity fills her muscles contracting spasms anchor their stay hold on for dearest life-giving life ride's just begun its stationed leave her look of fear and dread burn my eyes as i send calm's comforting kiss to her brow be the Superman of her birthing dreams breathing sterile air, deep as it seems the fierce clutch of her vicing hand surely the strongest woman in the land when push finally works its magical thrust behold the most beautiful vision on Earth the life of our lives come to bless all -- she has her mother's strength indeed M.A. Miller 08.10.00< !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. well i'm not about to be a first time dad but i liked this just the same...my 10 and a half pound son was a c-section; i was actually glad for that...i couldn't stand to see my wife in that pain... great writing... Tony  |
