The First

There have been others,
But you are the first,
Simply taking me
Just as I am
Into you
Openly giving all,
As I return love
Through a battered soul
You sew and stitch
Weaving away damage,
Soothing ragged scars
Beneath tissue, blood
And bone
Beyond that realm
Into the essence
Of being.

.....
The way I interpret this, this is fabulous..
Well even in the ways I do not interpret this, this is fabulous...

well, you are indeed a poet
on that there's no debate.

regards to you Corinne,
Sudhir

Sudhir, thank you.  Hard to think anyone would want this old battered heart, but grateful that someone does.

James, Brian and Mike, thank you much!

Corinne~

No matter the tatter.
No matter the tear.
The weaver with a loving touch
can always fix and repair.

I love your poem, young lady with 'old heart'.
