Where Did The Words Go?

I struggle to find the words
That do not to want to come
Only a million feelings swirling inside
That I just can’t seem to seize
The words have deserted me it seems
In these past couple of days
Leaving me to figure out where to go
With these feelings I cannot place
Emotion so strong that I cannot vent
I try to find those words that hide
Reaching down deep within me
Waiting for my pen to move across
This white untouched empty page
I wait with frustration as nothing comes
Where did all my words go
That used to come to me so easily
Flowing out with wonder and love
Or with heartache and pain
Filling the pages with my life, with memories
With my thoughts and expectations
I shake my head as I sit here
Looking down at the still empty page
Disappointment added to the mix
Of emotions I feel inside
As I wait and sigh with a wonder
Where did all the words go?

It may be writers block, but then again I know there are some feelings that I simply can't put on paper, for there just are words for them. This poem is so true, sometimes the words just dissappear!

Don't we all know that feeling.. Writers block... I guess it goes to show that we all need a little inspiration?

Sometimes the simple words are the ones we seek and you have taken them and put them on top of the poetic shelf of every poets release.  We all face this and it does seem as if you have found them all and used them well.  Great read.

Loved the description of how a writer's block feels like!  You described it well, well done.

I read a similar poem the other day and I have to say that they have been very impressive for poems struggling with words.   Great piece rosepetals
