I figured something out today
sitting at my desk
people just don't laugh enough
I'm guilty, I confess

But first, let me tell you
how I came to know this fact
and maybe when you hear it
you'll know exactly where I'm at

You see, today everyone was grumpy
or so it did appear
I admitt I was one of them
and that was VERY clear

My desk was filled with paper
I could'nt see the end
I was throwing this, tossing that
GRRRR, Where is my pen?

I moved my chair to get it
grabbed it and stood up
went to sit back down again
and fell flat on my BUTT!

There I am, grey linen dress
sitiing on the floor
let me tell ya, I was quite a site
She slipped, She fell, She scored!

Ohhh man, I started laughin
as everyone joined in
I laughed so hard I was cryin
I could not remove the grin

You see for that ten minutes
my worries were not there
they dissapeared, far away
I did'nt have a care

Moral of my story
Listen if you would
It only takes a minute to
LAUGH, It's ALL GOOD!!!!!!!

Vry funny.... If I had been there I too would have been roaring.
I can't help it...when someone falls I laugh!
My twisted sick nature I guess!
And did you know...it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile.

Jenn E,

This was GREAT (especially the "GRRR" part) and brought me a BIG smile.  It was so easy to visualize.  Sometimes we have to laugh at ourselves, don't we?!  Well done!!

Thank You very much.
I have just come home from a hectic day at the office, my desk I could not see.
I read your words, and oh how true they are. We all take life too serious sometimes and it is something like this that brings you back to reality.  I laughed picturing you on the floor (because I know you must be ok) and just wanted to say Thanx.

Cheers Fee

Jenn - You have a CHAIR in your office?  My boss said OSHA outlawed chairs and that's why we have to work standing up!  I don't know whether to call OSHA or call you and find out how you snuck your chair in past the undercover OSHA inspector posing as a security guard at the entrance to where you work.  Your security guard is NOT an undercover OSHA inspector?!!!!  Does OSHA know this???  Has he defected???  What about the hidden cameras my boss told me about one day in his office.  Do they watch you every minute like they watch us???  NO cameras?!!!  Are you sure?!!  If there aren't any cameras, then why are you required to use only 4 sheets of toilet paper?  How else will they be able to monitor that and thereby save money??  I'll bet you never thought of that, didja?  You'd better call my boss to get the INSIDE information.  His number is 1-888-GULLIBLE.

Oh, yeah... Before I forget, I love your poem.
