My love
so true and dear
i have an apology to state,
a sorrow for you to hear.
i love you,
and this you know to be true.
all the sacrifices i would make
i would make them just for you.
you deserve much more
more than what i can give
you deserve yachts and planes
and the finiest linens.
you should drink fresh water
from moutains up a top,
you shouldn't worry your beautiful face
your radiance makes the heart stop.
your bed should be covered in rose petals
pillows stuffed with feathers from a dove
springs made of the sturdiest metal
a blanket stitched from my love.
No, it seems not to be the case indeed
far be it that you would have such things
my deepest regret...
a heartfelt apology
can i tell you a secret though,
a secret between you and me?
all i can offer is my love
a vast open sea
that surpasses infinity.

i love you jay.

sighhhhhing .. I feel what you feel..
as I have been and are in  near the
same state.... and even though I have
been around the block and experienced
much.. I know no words  to help.....
except to express them as you have....

I see we joined at the same time....
good luck... and  best hopes for you..

Thank you very much for your support Steve, and yes you are right we are new members.  I wish you the same luck 10 times over.  I was afraid that such a poem would get lost in this torrent of poetry and prose.  But thank you once again, I appreciate it much

p.s. I will look out for your poems in the future.

What a very good poem to open Passions with!
I just love the was described all the things that your lover should have. I mean, the descriptions were more creative and deeper than most love poems I've read. Great piece and welcome to Passions!

to nate dogg:   Thank you very much for your kinds words.  I am a bit speechless though, I would have never thought I would hear such things lol... thank you for your warm welcome and words.  I look forward to catching up on some more of your poems.

to hoot_owl_rn: Thank you very much for your welcome and kind words as well    And what you say is true, about how it shouldn't matter, but it is a feeling that I have that needs to be expressed.  I think i found a perfect place to do just that.
Thank you once again

"your bed should be covered in rose petals
pillows stuffed with feathers from a dove
springs made of the sturdiest metal
a blanket stitched from my love."

to salooma:

Thank you very much for your kind words.  I will confess that I believe that part which you quoted was the 'apex' of the poem.  I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to posting my second one soon

to Jenn E -
thank you for your welcome and thank you for such a sweet comment   it means a lot

to Mark Bohannan : What a complament...I am left speechless lol.  I am happy that you enjoyed the poem.  I can only pray that the second would be just as, or if not better, than "an apology"    Thank you
