~Hard To Hold~ All I ever wanted was to love you ... all I ever needed ... I found in you. I gave you my heart and soul ... God, it was just so easy to do. I whispered in your sorrow's silence ... I shared all my secrets untold. All I ever wanted was to hold you ... but baby your hard to hold. Tell me what you want from me ... tell me what I'm supposed to do. I've cried a thousand tears ... and I lived and died inside of you. I always thought we were forever ... that together we'd gracefully grow old. All I ever wanted was to hold you ... but baby, sometimes your hard to hold. How many love songs can I sing for you ... how many poems do I need to write. How many times do we have to try ... before we finally get it right. To you I would give all my falling stars ... the moon so blue, the sun of gold. All I ever wanted was to hold you ... but baby your so hard to hold. Now your gone again ... and I'm left alone with this pain. I'm becoming lost in this silence ... and I'm screaming out your name. Once warmed by your light ... now I'm left in the dark so cold. All I ever wanted was to hold you ... but baby your so damn hard to hold. All I ever wanted was to hold you ... but baby your just so hard to hold. Yep, JM...what they said...music oozes from this poem... All I ever wanted was to hold you ... but baby your so damn hard to hold. The repetition of these two lines...fabulous! I know you're glad to see your muse back, well so am I!!! Bravo...jumping and shouting and flaying my arms. |

JM....WOW!!! This is an incredible piece you've written here. The repetition of the two lines is a very effective tool in this piece. One suggestion  Just grab on and hold on for dear life |

Janet marie - nicley construct, and with only one minor inconsistency - lets look at it for a minute - you finished the poem with (Still I'll die trying) (I'm gonna love ya till I'm old) I thought you were old already? *puzzled eyes* Is this a really really old poem??? Standing ovation, the muse returns in top form. Again I am left speechless, after reading this poem I don't know what to say, reading your poems have the same intense feeling of a friend confinding something close to their hearts to you alone. You listen hang upon their words and guard them with your heart. This is what reading your poetry feels like to me Jan. Thank you for sharing this with me. ya know what...you guys make my heart sing!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! I am so moved by these replies...truly I wish I could reply to each one individually but I am still having computer probs and would never get that post up... so please know that EACH one of you touched me with your praise and encouragement thank you for helping me celebrate the return of my moody muse and most of all thanks for putting up with all my whining  and reposts while she was gone LOL (TY margie-gator..cant give Callie all the credit-- a sweet friend lending her to me gets some as well) Thanks to the sweethearts that keep replaying this tune!! All I can say is wow. This is truly amazing... I felt every word and almost had a tear in my eye while I read. This certainly hits close to home, I wish you the best on your road to being true to your heart... God knows it's not easy sometimes. Truly beautiful. I reading a book called the God Code, there is also the bible code, and dead sea scrolls code, and a few others.... so I thought maybe there was a Janet code... lets take a peek. just a few lines extracted here and there to see what your really saying.
