Butterflies Don't Cry

They say that butterflies don't cry
This is really true as you will see
Just listen and I will tell you why
Remember this is between you and me

Tears of sorrow from a broken heart
Displaced memories forming shades of grey
No more yellow suns for each day to start
Clouds of darkness from love thats gone away

Eyes of green no longer will they shine
Blue skies tossed aside with promises spent
I beg of you just a little of your time
On the tips of wings only happiness is sent

Butterflies are not just mere little souls
They are promises of love for all that seek
Wings of purity guiding us to our quested goals
Fluttering by for both the strong and the weak

Flittering patterns of color and grace
Distinguished beauty that only they can keep
Tears of sorrow streaming down their face
No not crying...for she's a lady...and ladies sweetly weep

Mark Bohannan

"SIS"---just to let you know that you are appreciated.

Mark...Iv'e already said congrats for your milestone post..
but now I would like to comment on this beautiful poem.
It is written with a poets soul and
an unselfish heart..
It is born of the inspiration ...
that is the true magic of this place...
the friendship, and bonds that we form here
thru the sharing of our poetry...
This poem is a lovely tribute to one of our fav poets here.
Like you, her replies, and encouragement to all our work ...
has endeared her in our hearts ...
a perfect poem to help set a butterfly free
love to you and my sweet SS.

OK...I'm all composed and ready to yell the praises of my brother    This poem is one of the reasons you are cherished here, your words that touch the heart and the kindness you show those around you...words are nothing with out heart...you show that everday with your sunshine replies to everyone's poetry and never saying something that you don't feel...100% sincere.  This poem shows your gentle spirit and kind heart...no matter who it was a tribute to you would have made sure that you showed your soul in it...we are all grateful that you joined Passions and to celebrate your 1000th Post is an honor.  Ok so I'm a wee bit bias but that's because you're family....a member of Passions Family So congrats to you once again from the bottom of my heart~

Liz-Thank you so much and the loving is easy with a sister such as butterfly.  That just comes naturally.

James-yes I admire her beauty in all areas.  If rated on a scale of 1 to 10 then 10 it is on the outside as we all can see but the inside beauty would take a slide rule and a couple of mathmaticians to figure that one out.  Thank you so much for your always kind replies.

Corinne-I file a copy of all of course but this on goes into the family album for sure. And as for the wonderful......tis nothing that she herself has not done for me in a thousand ways.  Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind words.

Kit,Kit, Kit, kit, kit, kit, kit----now hon' no more tears please.  You should know that my love for Holly is all from a deep deep friendship so deep that it is LIKE family....I call her SIS because I would be proud to no end to have her as my REAL sister....I know that it is confusing if you were not there in the beginng to figure it out.  My love for her is real as she knows but the sister is sort of cyber adopting.  I do have a real sister in her with us though and you would like her much as well and WE are a loving family in our own rights.....Thank you so much for your sweet reply and please know that you are dear to us both.
