Entranced, I sought
the golden spike.
A meadowmuse,
sang songs I liked.
A darkened Prince,
held bloody pen--
a beckoning--
I wandered in.

I spied a Dove,
White wings of love,
and squirrel of black,
stood guard my back,
A butterfly,
with sorrow's eyes,
another sighed,
but would not cry.

Beneath a tree,
sat Cherokee,
arranging sands
of poetry,
as wisdom's words,
I gently heard:
"Becalm your fears,"
urged Balladeer.

Rex Allen wrote
in ink of smile--
he walked with me,
the night's long mile.
Walt, he always
made me think--
sipping cup
of laughter's drink.

Lord Christopher
(enchanted her)
his eyes so like the sky...
Martie, dee, and PdV
wiped tears
from my heart's eye,
as owl hooted
sweetest dirge,
I pondered love,
and every word.

I saved them all,
to save my soul--
every verse
more dear than gold.

And even though
I came to play,
if Ron won't mind,
may I please stay?

*Even though you may not find yourself in this--know that this rest is written in my heart...thanks to you all...

>>~~~~~~~> ~Serenity~ <~~~~~~~<<

From the heart of this Cherokee
I take this sweet opportunity
To thank the spirits up above
for sending you with your sweet love

Your gift among
the circled friends
Is the treasure
of your pen

Always knowing
tales you're telling
are serenity bound
of magic 'spelling'

Talented thoughts
personified
Proudly this Cherokee
stands by your side

With your smile
you've hit the mark
Landing in
this Cherokee heart

Proud I am
of you as punch !
Gosh I love ya'
a WHOLE DARNED BUNCH !

Of course it always
seems to me
You spread the charm
of ~Serenity~

Love ya', gal !

I hear your plea
for poetic dignity
yes this place ...
'tis our saving grace
by our words we're all bound
soulmates, and twins found
inspiration, gods gift
poetic ashes we sift
quiet comfort in dark of night
poetic contentment's guiding light
poets pen and heart in hand
words of love and loss we all understand
poetic tears for all to cry
hear my words, my whispered sigh
i hear your songs, i feel your plea,
kiss sweet fate, dance with destiny
ride the wind, steal the moon,
mornings light returning soon
looking south, me twin I see
blowing kisses to my sweet serenity

me loves ya me sweet twin of my heart...
heres to 2000 more...

Congratulations!!!! You entered 2000 with
the grace that only you have...beautiful and
full of the reasons why we all stay.  The
beauty and sorrow of your words has often
left me in amazement of your talent and I
among so many others here feel that you
complete this family...Many thanks to you
for the tears and the smiles that you have
shared....see you at 3000 next week

and what fun it has been!   Thank you, all of your kind replies have moved me greatly.
I'd never shown anybody what I'd written before, and you all made it easy with your warm support and encouragement.  I'd like to especially thank Rich, (spiked) for directing me here at a time in my life when depression was overwhelming me--I'm so much better for the joy of Passions company.  Thanks to all once again.
