Garden of My Heart

No longer is there a thorn ...
in the garden of my heart
No longer is there drought...
forming a layer of crust
No longer are there weeds...
smothering my love's desire
For within your friendship...
I have found the promising trust

Your sweetness and tenderness
have pruned with such care
Your gentle caring and nurturing
cried an abundance of life-giving tears
Your laughter and your smiles
disposing of all my broken dreams
Through your loving sincerity
I have released all my fears

Forever there will always be
gentle breezes of kisses for you
Forever there will always be
perfumes of memories lofted in the air
Forever there will always be
new blossoms of love waiting for you
As we tend to the garden of our hearts
in this love we will forever share

Mark Bohannan

For JM and all her support in helping me get to where I need to be... to be able to reach out and try
to love again....she is a true friend and I will always love her dearly deep in my heart.

Someone must have cried forlorn,
for look at what indeed was born...

Mark, this is absolute...
and beautiful...

~For Mark~

Your words are like roses ...
like sunshine, like spring rain.
Your poetry is your gift ...
your heart now ready to love again

The dark clouds have lifted ...
your future skies are shining bright.
Its time to dance in a sunbeam ...
its time to grow in your own light.

Your heart was never a thorn,
it just needed a little mending.
Your garden suffered from neglect,
it just needed a little tending.

Now your heart is ready ...
to trust and love anew.
Your garden is reborn,
with hope's sweet kiss of dew.

Plant your garden of poetry ...
let the beauty of you I see grow.
With every new blossom that opens
another rose from your heart shows.

JM

Mark... thank you so very much for this
so very beautiful poem.
I am very touched by it and your dedication.
If I have helped you in anyway...
see the sweet, generous kind man that I (we)
see here in your poetry and
and in your caring, encouraging ways,
then I am very happy...
Your a special friend to me too...
and I thank you for that.
You have brought sunshine to my day as well.
Thanks MC...
now put on those sunglasses and enjoy that Texas sunshine...
it is indeed your time to shine...
love ya my sweet friend

Mark
This is a very beautiful poem, and of course, it had to be Janet Marie.
She is the voice of Passions
She is the enthusiasm, the inspiration, the encouragement for all of us, and if her freindship is special to you, I can well believe it
She is a very special person, and you write superbly about her

Mark,
This so tenderly written, it warmed my heart. JM is indeed a very special person and it makes me smile that someone wrote something so beautiful for her. I am so very glad to hear your heart has come out of that dark place we all have been lost in. Take Care..
