~Inspiration Born Of Night~

Unspoken words tell secrets ...
but hide between the lines.
Finding solace in the night,
as shadows press for time.

Burning hours no one knows,
while all the worlds at rest.
Mercifully inspiration comes,
passion of lyric be thy quest.

Savor every word and line ...
in hopes that it will last.
For soon the sun will steal the moon ...
the night is fading fast.

Listen for gifted voices,
whispered wisdom ... handed down by time.
No rest now for the poets pen,
they must capture every verse and rhyme.

"What light thru yonder window breaks"...
with the dawn ... this poet may now rest.
The shadows will return with the night ...
inspiration will return as this poets welcome guest.

Janet Marie

~Read Between The Lines~

With in the verses written,
secrets and sorrow lie.
Words to express the heartache...
the devastation when love dies.

With in the verses written,
pain is all dressed up in rhyme.
Promises made, now broken,
commitments lost to the passage of time.

With in the verses written,
confessions defend then define...
Detailing all the damage,
read between the lines.

With in the verses written,
hear whispered silent screams.
Destiny denied by fate,
cancellation of all my dreams.

With in the verses written,
desire and desperation dance.
This poet begs for inspiration...
forgiveness and love beg for a second chance.

This poet loves the inspiration that is your guest.  Such beautiful words from you and your moody muse.....any sign of her at the brink of this new day?LOL

With in the verses written,
desire and desperation dance.
This poet begs for inspiration...
forgiveness and love beg for a second chance.

Savour every word and Verse I do....as many nights pass consumed in your words......These both are treasure and Michael must be proud to have inspired you to these heights.......    SO nice to see your name pop up for us to indulge in.

Jan, This verse I especially loved

Burning hours no one knows,
while all the worlds at rest.
Mercifully inspiration comes,
passion of lyric be thy quest.

Oh you have reached deep inside with these. THank you for allowing to join you this journey, your words will always inspire and lift spirits. Yes I too miss Michael's poetry.

searching for you," Joy divison

Yay ... a double treat from you Janet Marie!  Moody muse or no ... I'll re-read anything you'd like to post me dear!  I loved your thoughts in this, and having read Michael's work, I understand where your inspiration was drawn from. Beautiful writing JM!

Best wishes,
/Kit

There's a wonderful lyricist that lies within you dear girl.

"Unspoken words tell secrets
but hide between the lines
finding solace in the night,
as shadows press for time."

What a tremendous drawing verse to start a poem....it's fab stuff!

"The shadows will return with the night
inspiration will return as this poets welcome guest."

It's great writing I love the depth of the ideas, and how they unfold.

"Within the verses written
confession defend then define
detailing all the damage
read between the lines."

That is simply great writing and I love it so much....confessions defend then define..oh yeah that's the way it goes....you're a wonder Janet....wonderful accomplishments of poetic art here.

Janet Marie,

treacherous passes. I feel more confident now that I know that I have a companion on this road.
