Your Eyes - Your Lips - Your Fingertips
~*Marge Tindal*~

Are you someone I used to know ?
You look so familiar to me
The corners of your smile
bear a slight resemblance I see

The green of your eyes shines brightly
like those I once adored
You look so familiar to me
Are you sure we haven't met before ?

Your arms are so inviting
I feel they've held me tightly
You feel so familiar to me
A dream that returns to me nightly

Your eyes, your lips, your fingertips
all have a charm of their own
I feel that they belong
to someone that I've known

Inviting me to again explore
a place I think I've been
Traipsing the familiar trail you've drawn
I find the heart of you, my friend

Been there before Marge? it mystically seems like that is so... many past thoughts coming back to haunt your memories. Wonderful comparisons you are making here to describe the similarities.......very well done Marge I like the character innuendos through the reflections on the past. Great work Marge!!

Marge- I found this to be both beautiful and mysterious.....the memories of days of a child and young adult kept popping in and from where you get your inspiration I half expected to see in the end that you were gazing into a mirror...LOL   That is meant only as a compliment and not of self adornment though you have many reasons to feel that way.

Oh, what a wonderful feeling of deja-vue placed to words ... such an exquisite feeling you've described Marge!

Oh, babe ... been there and back !
And then this little muse came back
and delivered an extension to this one.
Now I've got to figure out what to do with it.  Thank you.

Sudhir~
I thank you from the heart of this friend.

RosePetals~
So glad you let me know.  Thank you.

Bill~
I do appreciate it.
I don't really have a choice or a say in it.
They just keep coming and I write.

MarkB~
Oh, my goodness -
The mystery is that it remains so.
No reflections here ... I don't think.
But what do I know ? LOL !

Kit~
Maybe deja `vu is what it is.
Thanks for the insight.

Melissa~
Thanks, honey !
Keeps us guessing, huh ?

Hi Marge,

The thought of someone dear to me comes at the sight of a beautiful flower or the sweet melody of the song bird, or the comfort of a cool summers breeze, the love for someone like you my friend a feeling that comes over and over again, for I may never have seen your smilling face or talked on the phone but the words that your heart produces has left there mark on me, thank you for another wonderful poem my friend.

Love, Cerenity

Are you sure you don't have the "hard hat syndrome"? Well, that's irrelevant. This is one beautiful poem, Marge, and you make it look so easy.

P.S. thank you for all your lovely responses to my poems!
