Moonchild

Moonchild, loveliest child of the moon
Please shine all you wonders for us to consume
They’re deep down inside you, just hidden away
Waiting to sparkle when gloom fades away

Your heart is just waiting for life to appear
Your mind is just waiting to come out of fear
Your soul overflows with great wonders to give
And you wait the right moment to openly live

Moonchild, loveliest poet in the sky
Write me a tender and sweet lullaby
Think of the most cherished thing that you know
And then let the ink and the sweet passions flow

From out of your pen comes the light of your soul
From out of your heart all the sorrows unfold
But sooner than later the ink will change tune
And out will pour love from the child of the moon

For life comes in stages like phases of moon
Eclipses are just passing shadows of gloom
Then your face will light up from the warmth off the sun
And you will cast moonbeams upon everyone

Love Liz

Now there's a friendship poem of the greatest magnitude
Beautifully written Elizabeth ... and this group could sure use some of those precious moonbeams from Maureen to add to this beauty

I must agree with Rex...this is beautiful, Liz, and I am sure Maureen will love it.

Oh yes this is great.....and what a lovely poet person you extended the pen of friendship to. She is so gifted with beautiful moods of expression and like you say her time in the sun will come....such a fitting expression of love Elizabeth and such a tribute to yourself for so doing....

well done well done!!!!!

Looks as though both of you "cast moonbeams upon everyone". this is a precious sentiment...you are both lucky to have friends like each other!

I know a place where I can go when Im low, into your arms I can go.

Passionate Friends

I have been overwhelmed by the responses of "friends"
Have been answering, teasing, with words that I've penned.
My clocks not in tune now, my hours turned 'round
So I went to sleep early and this morning I found

Many more emails alerting me to
Many more poets warm words to review.
I did my best wanting, to repond just a bit
To the expressions of others, to enjoy what was writ.

Then I came across one, couldn't be meant for me.
Must have another Moonchild, that's it, had to be.
But the curiosity caught and I had to check in..
Oh My! What I found...darn..made tears flow again.

I can do that so easily, when touched by you "all"
Whether happy or sad..they are partial to me and fall.
But I'm so ..I don't  know..at a loss to express
How you've made me so welcomed, and how very impressed

I have become with the warmth, the closeness, the feel
Of a group of fine poets, that charm reel to real.
Hearts on their sleeves, their movies of words
I feel them, am touched by...every emotion incurred.

Liz, I must thank you, I am not even sure
What has brought this about, but the feelings are pure
Of the happy you've made me and the warm felt inside
I am trying to share all my feelings that I hide.

And to all of you here, who've responded in thread
I am greatful to all, and am blushing faced red.

~~hugs~~ to you everyone...especially Liz

Thank you everyone for your responses to this poem to a poet whom I would like to know better, but even though I know little of her life, Maureen has touched my heart with her poetry and here she is again, whipping out a thank you poem as easy as can be.I am so glad you liked my poem, Maureen.
Take care
Love

Oh how I like to see the dream
when Wonder here touches Moonbeam
see Santos astride her white white horse
she's written wonderfully of Maureen of course.

Sunshine, your thoughts are very beautiful, but if I'm going to be astride a white horse, I'm hangin' on to Lizzie, cause I can't ride worth a hoot. I'll just fly along with my angel wings.
Thank you Sunshine and Kit

Liz,
this was lovely, you expressed what I'm sure we all feel, a blessing from Maureen's heartfelt poetry.
