In the space between moments

0 posted 2000-08-06 12:39 PM

The music of the silence
Blowing soft within my ears
A harmony of nothingness
Falling calm and clear.

A serenade of quiet stars
Rippling in pools of air
‘Neath waves of folding night
I see you standing there.

Silhouetted by the gleaming moon
My spirit moves to you
The moments still within your eyes
Because forever's what is true.

No song escapes your tender lips
But words aren’t needed now
Just lay against the slumbering earth
And hold sacred our vow.

The music of the silence
Rushes through my soul
Rest here and dream with me
So the stillness we can know.

mmm, beautiful, krista.  i really like this one... the music of the silence, i've always liked that idea, and you've written it very well here, as always.  very romantic, love needs no words...    you continue to get better, my friend, and that's saying a lot!

Wonderful poem Krissa... Just wonderful.  I like the way you used the stars... it adds to the effect, at least for me.
