Across the winds of once that was,
...whispered memories,
Soothing balm of times gone by,
...unto the soul, heartsease.

Venus shines her light above,
...'tis written in the stars,
What we are is what we were,
...enscribed in life's memoires.

I gaze within for suckling babe,
...I wonder what he'd see,
I wonder if he'd recognize,
...the man I've come to be.

Mike...
This expressed some of the things
      I've often thought about.....you have
put those thoughts into words and done
      it extremely well.........
"What we are is what we were....

           and what shall we become?

I have but one goal in
life.........
To make you smile!

Your reflective mood translates well, my friend. What one might see from whence one came... ponderings, indeed.
