It started as a
   tiny spark,
Landing in an
   empty heart,
Left shattered and
   dry by betrayal.
Fanned by the breath
   of a new lovers kiss
It grows brighter
    and hotter
Til it rages like a
   wildfire out of control
Cleansing in its heat.
Consuming past hurts
   in a firestorm of passion,
Then settles in for
   that long slow burn
Of forever.

never say never
