On Tiptoe Feet

On tiptoe feet it comes so soft
Like haze rolls in the waterfront
Mysteriously it hangs aloft
Until the moment of your want

So silently it draws you near
With out a single word or cue
Unannounced it fast appears
And tenderly embraces you

It changes everything you see
The past is past, the present’s now
The future is a blissful dream
No matter where or when or how

It is the power of love that comes
On tiptoe feet into your heart
So delicately it overcomes
Without a warning, plays it’s part

It gives you peace, like rippled pond
It makes your heart sing sweeter tunes
And everything of which your fond
A thousand fold your soul consumes

Your heart hangs on to music’s strings
It’s captured in a sunset’s glow
It dances as the swallow sings
It follows in the water’s flow

Your eyes reflect the twinkling stars
The glowing moon, the candlelight
Your face casts smiles from afar
You fondly wait the tender night

You feel the rhythm of the sea
Your blood runs to a lover’s beat
This change in life is meant to be
When love comes in on tiptoe feet

Coco, seems like you tiptoe through the back pages of the forum and find poems that have been left to obscurity. Thank you for finding this and for your kind remarks. It gives me a chance to thank all those who responded to this poem without my realizing. I appreciate all of your comments
Thank you
Liz

Hi Liz,

This is one of the best descriptions of love I've seen in awhile...beautifully done...I've often see it sneak up on tip toe feet.  Wonderful, isn't it?  I want to thank you for visiting my web site and the kind things you had to say.  That was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning.  I hope your day is a pleasant one, my friend.

Kit, Thank you, my poet twin, Glad you likr it

Toe, I was just trying to give you a plug. You've been gone so long, somr of the new poets might not know you, so this is a tip to Toe poem. Nice to have you back. It's better when you're here

Michael, I must say, I'm very fond of your writing and enjoyed you're site, although I didn't get halfway through the poetry, I'll treat myself and go back again soon. Thank you for reading my poem and for your kind comments

I read slowly  - thinking Carl Sandburg at the beginning (The Fog) as I got further into it it became clear you weren't talking Fog - and as Love became clear - I was totally entranced - moreover - you poem 'flowed' beautifully.

wonderful Erite Liz
