I can’t be the things you see.
I can’t feel those things you see.
I don’t know the words that left you,
by my side.

Lightning is in the house tonight.
Lay to rest your sins tonight.
Living by the faults you bare,
within my soul.

All of this seems so strange to me.
After all this what is left of me?
And if I lose my mind are
you there inside?

Mother, I’ve got things on you.
Makes me sick when I think of you.
Man I’m starting to lose it all and you
let me go.

Did I do something wrong?
Daddy did I not make you happy?
Don’t leave me here. No, don’t say
goodbye to me.

Just an effigy to be disgraced,
to be defaced.
Your need for me has been replaced.

The only response. *sigh*

Okay, this one is seriously confusing, especially the beginning. "I don't know the words that left you,/by my side" What does this mean? You don't know the words that caused her to stay by your side, or you don't know the words that came out of her mouth when she was by your side? I don't get this one at all.
