Listening to every heart

The Sigh That I Heard Yesterday

Extraordinary thing happened
of the sigh I heard just yesterday

people stopped and people listened
they heard the sigh too, they say,

they conjectured, oh they wondered
if something had happened to you

they looked about askance
and inquiries ‘round about flew

to see if there was anything
that they could do for you

and had you known
or perchance had felt

that in their minds
your sigh had dwelt

you would have known
of their concern for you

so do not think you dwell without
for care and interest is all about

and when next you sigh, give kind thought
and realize the love that is wrought.

Oh, this is so lovely Sunshine ... one never knows how deeply their love is felt by others, how wonderful that you can write your feelings in this beautiful way so that they know! Wonderful!

Best wishes,
/Kit

As a good friend will atest...I am weakened by a good sigh and the follow up to your sigh brings me to my knees.  Well done and keep those thoughts floating among us.  Wonderful muse you have.

As soon as I saw the title I had to read this, as I was wondering about the sigh you wrote about yesterday! Thanks...its like a serial poem

Karilea~
A true friend knows you well enough -
to know where your sighs come from.

I like this piece.

To those of you
who've heard the sigh
from the first
gone by and bye

of Passionate friends
'tis was written
the "sigh" is for
all those smitten.

Mark - heavy duty

and that you came back, not only to read, and sigh, but yet again comment, why, that's one of the finest compliments that can be given...

so {sigh} you made my day...
