Here she comes a toast to Dame Cover Girl
a lust for cameras leaks through her stare.
She'll pierce your heart and soul like an arrow
She'll mix her magic into a snare.

She'll knock on love's door
and when she stuns you you're sure
that she's not lying.
But when she's done with her games
you're left in misery and pain
in the silence.

Oh she'll sit near your corner in a low cut dress
she's got legs forever and you're mind's in a mess.
She smokes Parliment Lights and blows you a kiss.
and she'll roll you her eyes she's a cat on the prowl
she's got the scent of the moon and an angel's smile.

Here she comes her finest face done in fashion
a host of beauty secluding beware.
She'll spread her vines around your blue passion
she'll host your pride while you're unaware.

She'll knock on love's door
and when she stuns you you're sure
that she's not lying.
But when she's done with her games
you're left in misery and pain
in the silence.

This is a cool poem.

I wonder if it's the same from a womens point of view?

ETHome~
A wonderfully enjoyable read.
And my full-of-'Sunshine' friend is right ...
it DOES have that Billy Joel feel.

I would like to thank all for their kind words of agreement. Jon I know there are men that act the same way and they are guilty of emotional rape. Beauty certainly is not the premiere quality one should seek when searching for a soul mate. I am not saying all beautiful women are like the one depicted in this poem but more often than not, it turns out that way. Thanks once again to all who appreciated the content of this poem.

Special thanks to those two (M.T. & S} who likened this poem to a Billy Joel style song.
I am going to kiss both of them just as soon as I can!!

Fantastic imagery in this poem ethome...you captured the scene, the woman, the feeling and tied it all up with poetic talent.  Well done!

(PS...if I say Billy Joel, can I get a kiss too?)

She Is Suffering

Beauty finds refuge in herself
Lovers wrapped inside each others lies
Beauty is such a terrible thing
She is suffering yet more than death

She is suffering
She sucks you deeper in
She is suffering
You exist within her shadow

Beauty she is scarred into man's soul
A flower attracting lust, vice and sin
A vine that can strangle life from a tree
Carrion, surrounding, picking on leaves

She is suffering
She sucks you deeper in
She is suffering
You exist within her shadow

Beauty she poisons unfaithful all
Stifled, her touch is leprous and pale
The less she gives the more you need her
No thoughts to forget when we were children

Richey Edwards.

Tis true the saying "Beauty is only skin deep".........but I think we all at some point have to experience this to really understand. Funny, but in the long run they will be the ones in misery, pain, and silence. And we will be better of for learning their lesson. Sorry, I am rambling.......I liked it alot!

Funny how this is what society dictates that women strive for this, isn't it?  Such a shallow, meaningless path, and yet men have fallen for it for years, being ruled by the wrong brain it would seem!

Great description, and great imagery of this piece about this woman Ethome. Unfortunately, I knew some ladies that fit your descripton and believe me, it doesn't feel good to have your love taken for granted.

Thanks Nate .. I know what you mean but I don't like to place all women in that catagory...I recieve them all as individuals
.. as you can realize from reading at this poetry that there are so many women out there that are such beautiful people...thanks again

*sigh* Yes true, but then I have known many people who are users, attractive and not so, so you cant go on looks, or nonlooks alone. The only way I think is time. Eventually their true self shows through, its a shame we get hurt in the meantime.

Yes I know what you mean Tess and you are right. It just seems that more often than not the extremely attractive ones let it go to their head then it changes their perception of life.....Thanks very much for your comments, glad to hear from you.
