Listening to every heart

After the Prayers

Today I said more than
one prayer, Lord…

perhaps I should be held
accountable for taking
up lots of your time…

but I had a friend who lost
a father, here from this world,
but now safe in yours…

and a friend who lost a
great-grandfather…
again, another soul saved,

I know someone whose
daughter is sick

and someone who has
an autistic child, and I
prayed that the educators
would make great strides

I prayed for my husband
to be safe on the machine
on which he was riding in
order to care for your land…

and I prayed for a little
sanity for me…

I asked you to keep people
I know who think of you
safe in their day

and those who do not...

and I asked you to take
special care of a friend who
has suffered much lately…

I asked you to bless some
special poets
and others

and I asked once again
a little something for myself…
something between you and me…

so I loaded you up today, Lord,
but somehow I know I didn't
give you more than you've given
me

because I know it is what you
want, the act of giving,
any kind.

I know that you sent some
special angels on my
behalf today
to special
friends,

that you healed wounds
and hurts and
hearts,

that you guided feet
and minds
and
souls

and that you heard
my every
whisper

so now that you've done quite
a bit, after the prayers,

I wanted to say
Thank You.

Karilea~
Amen from this little corner of the world.

And thank you, my Lord, for granting us
the beauty of phrases from the heart of
one of your angels.

Sunshine,
I am just going to have to stop coming by unless you stop writing like this! Just kidding. These poems are excellent, and I might add, a tear fell at times when I read them.

this is very touching......you have a very loyal and kind heart to fill your prayers with needs of friends...and to thank your lord for providing...we should all be thankful for everything we are blessed with...especially beautiful words like this!

So THAT'S why He was to busy to answer my prayers on the golf course today!

Karilea, I know, of course, some of the people you refer to and my prayers are right there with yours....you are such a good person.

Perfectly done.....there are times when we
are so busy asking for things for us and for
others that we leave the "thank you" for the
end....There have been many prayer requests
lately....perhaps because the people here
are so willing to give them with open
hearts...what a wonderful place this
is...and a wonderful time to give thanks

Karilea,
the world is truly a better place because your light shines in it. . .

Thank you my friend. . . and may His light continue to shine through you. . .

This is so beautiful!  If everyone prayed like you, this world could be a wonderful place!  Excellent job!

Sunshine, you've said it all, and then some. This is grand, and I'm sure He hears.

Friends, I can say it here, to you, ...

I am not wonderful nor all of the other truly marvelous things you have said... I have erred and have seen the errors...

and I have seen miracles, and wanted to give thanks...

I know you ALL understand. Thank you.

Karilea,
May I say that this is a divine sun shine in the most beautiful ray, replendently glowing through what some lesser beings (out of their folly) refer to as mere words while others like the ones before me refer to as a blessing in disguise...

My regards to you as always,
Sudhir
