Earth 3rd Rock from the sun!!

I was lieing beside you
A million miles away
I was thinking what I should do
I was wondering what you'd say
I was wishing we could work it out
I was thinking you felt the same
I was hoping I could figure it out
Wishing we could end this game

And it has been tearing us apart
Bleeding, broken, empty hearts
And it's been eating at us
A ten year long crush
And it wasn't your fault
We can both take the blame
We both know it could never be the same

And I was dreaming of you
Hoping I'd find the answers there
I was wondering if you wanted to save it
Take another shot at it
But it came to mind
That that isn't what I wanted
Was just buying my time
In another frame of mind
Sorting through the angry words
Spoken through anger yet very true
And now I'm wondering what you will do
Just sweep up the ashes
Of a love that's died
Pull the plug on all the
tears you've cried
And you know there's been many

And it has been tearing us apart
Bleeding, broken, empty hearts
And it's been eating at us
A ten year long crush
And it wasn't your fault
We can both take the blame
We both know it could never be the same

Baby I'll take the blame
Cause you know it will never be the same
And you can tell your friends it was my fault
I know it will make you feel better
And you can lose sleep over me
In a pile of unfinished letters
Words you'll never say to me
Pages of love that once you believed
And isn't it about time
You found a new love?
And isn't it about time
You put away your boxing gloves
We don't have to fight no more
We'll both find what we've been searching for

Cause it was tearing us apart
Bleeding, broken, empty hearts
And it was eating at us
A ten year long crush
And it wasn't your fault
We can both take the blame
We both know it could never be the same

Julie :)

Thank you Maureen...It was a childish crush that turned into a childish marriage....But it says all I would want to say about it...

JulieAnn,
it's funny isn't it?  How these things get out of control?  Makes you wonder. . .

Excellent work. . .

~I liked this alot as I know the feeling of having that crush that takes control of you. Wishing sometimes you could end it but are so used to feeling that way it makes it hard. Great work here!~

Hi JulieAnn....
I liked this one a lot!!!
I have a sneakey suspicion that there
is a melody to go along with the
        lyrics here, and if not.....
                    there should be!!!
             Great work, girl......

I have but one goal in
life.........
To make you smile!

JulieAnn,
A story indeed that you have told. I don't see how it could have been done any better than what you have written.
