Whispered Rains
~*Marge Tindal*~

Morning mist
reflectively adorned
reclines atop
water-smoothed pebbles

Whispering rains
cascade the leaves
dripping secrets
to the bark

Spirit of water maiden
seeps over stone
whispering
   whispering

Draping her mist
across boulders of strength
clinging to not-so-subtle shapes

whispering
   whispering

on her descent
into chambered valleys

Waking suggestions
rising to begin
the diaphanous dance
of whispered rains

Marge...
        This is absolutely beautiful!!!
Now the rain seems almost mystical, as I
watch it 'whisper' from the sky here...

Hi Marge
Enjoyed this, but my fav image was
"cascade the leaves
dripping secrets
to the bark"

MarkB~
You don't need an engraved invitation to come take a peek into this little inkwell ..
Would that be 'inky-dipping'?
Or 'inky-peeking'?
(bluh ... say that three times ... fast)
Thanks, my friend.

Sudhir~
So very, very glad you enjoyed it.

Sunny1~
Glad you took time to 'listen' ...
what a peaceful sound.

Tess~
Mine too !
Thank you so much.

Marge~

Liked this very much.  I can hear the sound of the rain as it gently caresses the earth.  So soft and beautiful.  You have captured it so well my friend.  Great writing!

a whispered rain ... a wonderful notion and beautifully penned here, Marge ... nice simple phrases with a bit of intellect (like pepper to spice it up) ... well done ...

Marge...had you written nothing but the title for this one I wouldn't have been disappointed. Just the title in itself envoked such comforting and lovely images in my mind and the poem only added to those. "diaphanous dance".....oh, very, very nice

Loved this, beautifully portrayed. I could hear and feel the rain. Admitedly not difficult in rainy old England but, for once I could feel the gentle touch of it.

Thanks for taking a romp in the
beauty of the mist.

Thank you for the sweet reply.
My son just returned from a
three week trek in Manchester ...
he can attest to the 'rain'.
