his hands
brown and strong
her hands thin
nails too long

one touch
first night jitters
he smiles
she titters

soft glances
across the wine
he whispers
‘nice to meet you deVine”

she grins
eyes aglow
you’re the only
I wanted to know

dinner eaten
talk flows free
tell me, he asks
what did you see in me

“Your gentle way
your smile sweet
but most of all
the size of your feet!”

some say the shoe size of a man
doesn't really matter
but you and i know differently
when dinner's on a platter

some say it's insignificant
it's not the size, it's the walk...
but i say what those people say
is just a bunch of talk

i think it's clever, ms. devine,
the way you phrased this question!!
i'll check back here for size of shoes...
and read with some discretion... *wink*

Intriguing little verse...thank you for the smile it brought as well as the arched brow...and speacking of which....for the socks, of course...can you find something that has really supple arching support?

Sharon! Make it easy on yourself and get socks that are "one size fits all..."

Then you don't have to worry about 'Deer's hooves and LJA's paddleboats...

Did I get pulled into that one!  Hook, line and sneaker!  Geez
10 1/2, btw.  But if the light is just right and the wine flows freely, they can be mistaken for clown shoes!

Still chuckling...

Walt – Age 13? So do you mean your shoe size is a 5?

Viraynes – thanks, it was fun to write!

Chris – it takes one to know one!

Sudhir – linking shoes sizes to ‘engine power’

Nan – I don’t steal another woman’s socks

RG – Giggles!

Dr. – Dessert? Yep, shoefly pie!

Notlikely2 – don’t tell them what we talk about in Adult or we’ll be overrun!

DA – I always like a twisted end

Pandora – To confess the size of his feet
Each poet must repeat
Size doesn’t matter
‘less you’re the batter!

EW – Supple socks as opposed to stiff ones?

Prometheus –

The lesson that you want to teach
Is somewhat beyond my reach
So should I say that I love
A man who wears a really big glove?

Mark – Boots? I love boots!

Karilea = One size fits all
                Is a single girl’s lament
The last one-sized
Ended up in cement!

Trew – Clown shoes get extra points with me as long as the ‘nose glows’

Kit – thanks!! We needs smiles sometimes!

PoetdeVine~

You be the left foot
I'll be the right
Together we'll make quite a pair

Neither of us knowing
where the other one is going
Just how will we ever get there ????

Oh .... that does it for my blonde moment !

I own up to having an 'ever so slight'
shoe fetish ... but hey ...
even Cinderella has to keep
trying on those slippers ! !
Thanks for the chuckle.
