           Where I fly

In the bright of the night
When clouds play with light.
Nymphs seem to dance
Where the shadows enhance.

And the wind in its way
Sets the movement in play
As visions appear
That are clearly unclear.

Gestures of grace
Thoughts made of lace.
A stage that hangs snow
A strange mistletoe.

It is here I romance
With my mind in a trance
The whimsy of dream
Fulfillment of seem.

It is here that I fly
Just my lover and I.

You know, I was going to pick out a part that struck me as "the best" and I would then be silly, posting back your entire piece here...love it!

Sy, if you fly over Rock Island, be sure to wave. I wouldn't want to miss it!

I DO like the poem, though. Your poetry's flying high for sure.

I haven't been able to spend much time on the forum and this one almost slipped by me.
This is such a beautiful poem, I think one of my favorites, and I'm so glad I found it

Sy, I hope that you are still flying.  You are very missed.  Your poetry always struck me as gentle and beautiful.  You have taught me a lot as I read.
