When Irish eyes are smiling
The worlds a better place
We love to see your Irish eyes
Smiling upon your face

They warm a thousand hearts
Of friendships old and new
When Irish eyes are smiling
With friendships tried and true

So when you feel a warmth
That sets your heart aglow
Irish eyes have been smiling
This my friend you'll know

Love is the life of the soul...
It is the harmony of the universe

Well I am 100 % the real thing. Born bred and for the past 20 yrs have been living in Ireland.

TRaci that is actually a famous Irish song...a drinking song.

"When Irish eyes are smiling
you've too much whiskey to drink
when Irish eyes are smiling
you'll spend the night sleeping in the sink
When Irish eyes are smiling
You'll have ahard finding the door
for you not be able to get off the floor...
When Irish eyes are smiling
You will wake up the next morning a head real sore"

LOL

REally liked the poem. "Ta se go haliann"
that was my bit of gaelige (very little of which i can remember) it means your poem was wonderful.
