God take care of our Mother
who just arrived today,
tell her we all miss her
and there's so much we'd like to say.

She was always there
whenever we needed a friend,
whether cooking meals or mending clothes
on her you could always depend.

She always had a lot of friends
most who aren't with us today,
but if they were here they'd tell you
exactly what she would say.

"Ya'll don't cry for me
put a smile upon your face,
just remember I'm on my way
to a much better place.

Where there is no more suffering
or any pain to endure,
a place where God's own hand
will be the perfect cure."

A country lady without much schooling
she did her very best,
taking care of a husband and kids
really put her to the test.

The holidays won't be the same
without her around this year,
but she has already received
the gift that is so dear.

There's a new angel in Heaven now
looking down on everyone,
we love you Mother with all our hearts
your husband, daughter and son.
