"Just a kiss" he said. "Nothing more" he said. As he looked down into her eyes, he knew it was...

"Just a kiss" she said. "Nothing more" she said. And as she gazed up into his eyes, she knew it was...

Just a lie.

"Don't leave me" he begged. "I ask for nothing more" he cried.
"I'll stay with you" she whispered. "I want nothing more" she answered.

She passed away in his arms that night.
From all across the world you could hear the scream of anguish and pain.

He didn't say goodbye.
He didn't know how to let her go.

He kissed her,
nothing more.
He will forever,
stay with her,
nothing more.

Thank you for your responses,
I share my poetry with friends only but you can never be sure if they really like it or if they are just being a friendly.
Thanks again.

Welcome to Passions Kimber!  Wow ... a powerful and thought-provoking read. Had to scoot back and read a second time! This has a unique flow that works well with your words ... nicely penned!

Best wishes,

Welcome to Passions and I must say that your first post was a great choice.  It is so filled with the sadness and love.  This tore at my heart and you brought that out through your pen.  GREAT WRITE.

Wow. Very much like another poem that I read, that was in the Corner Pub. Only this one was from the girl POV.

Welcome to Passions, Kimber!
You said so much with so little.  I liked the format and the impact that it had.  Anything that makes me ponder is always a treat!
Well done!  I hope you enjoy your time here.

Trevor.
