I'm back but with good news, I think I have actually managed to write some lines in Iambic pentameter... I hope

"the angry wild, deep grey the flow today
forget the ships and gleaming blue of old
as yesterday is here with you again.
I watch the ships they ride the blowing wind."

Ok so it's hardly great but I'm hoping that all is in order and if anyone has some tips, or could point out some poetry with Iambic pentameter I would be most grateful

Andrew.

You've done it, Andrew - This stanza is definitely iambic pentameter.  Methinks you've got it...

If you want some examples, I surely have some offerings - This is my TOC of formatted poetry - http://nan.netpoets.net/nancy/sonnets.htm  - Anything that indicates "sonnet," I've written in iambic pentameter - as I did my signature below...

Write ON...

Waft every crest upon your destined sea
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity

Alright Zu!

Now it's time for trochaic, anapestic, dactyllic...
