What do you think is the most eloquent word in english.  How about irp

Oh, I might have mistook you... do you mean eloquent in speech, or eloquent in poetry?

For speech I'd say "pardon me" is pretty durn good.  I try to say it often.

And when you're shocked, say "goodness!"

Acquiescense I like.....it just has that graceful feel of acquiescing.......dohhhh....sowwy but I like it even tho i cant spell it!!

More eloquent words?  "Resplendent" is neat.
