Purgatorial Incarceration

Ruth's hilarious (though not necessarily off-the-mark) set of Rules for Writerers, states # 6 as: "Also, always avoid annoying alliteration.

The challenge then, is to write a poem -or- prose piece which uses alliteration, yet isn't annoying.

----------

Please prepare pertinent prose and poetry pieces then post per Passions prestated parameters.

----------

The American Heritage Dictionary defintion:

Alliteration - The repetition of the same consonant sounds or of different vowel sounds at the beginning of words or in stressed syllables.

----------

Have fun, and please post them as a new topic, unless you don't wish it to be up for discussion, then you can post it in this thread!

Sadly...you have all missed the point...(though Suddy - I like your one).

Really, the point is Christopher is limited to the most basic of puns, displaying a distressing lack of imagination...

sigh...

it's a tragedy isn't it?

Oh I weep for your imagination C...I just weep and rend and wail...

pandora

perhaps pretty predictable to perceive you popping your periscope, precocious person with playful predilections that you are.  Possibly post your prosey punning perambulations within the perimeter of this place thus permitting people positively perplexed by ‘puters, Passions and page-links to pay powerful plaudits; ............. please?

pilip

hey !!! great to see ya here - ‘poligies for not opening your box more often .......
