first I guess we need to discuss what is a metaphor! Doesn anyone have any definitions or examples?

Metaphor - A figure of speech in which one thing is spoken of as if it were another -

"All the world's a stage" - The world isn't really a stage, but if Shakespeare says it is, I believe it...

(Oh - btw - You can't use "as" or "like" in your comparison - That would make it a "simile"...)..

All this talk about metaphors has WHET MY APPETITE and  PEAKED MY CURIOSITY! It should be as EASY AS PIE to write a poem AS GOOD AS GOLD, RIFE WITH CORRUTION and LOADED TO THE HILT with metaphors!

(I could be wrong of course!)LOL

I also posted a metaphor challenge in poetry challenge forum, I hope you don't mind me highlighting this. the reason is I have only two responses so far, and one of them is mine so it does not count.
