         The natural way

Just walk along a sandy breach,
Any sandy beach.
Watch the gulls and hear beseech,
Listen to their screech.

See their hungry bully way,
Swoop upon their prey.
Watch these insensitive deeds,
Their avarice and greed.

They turn and wheel on every meal,
They attack and steal.
Swoop upon all things undone,
Rotting in the sun.

They live their life of hunt and raid
And seek no other aid.
Ply the wind from dawn till dusk,
Actions fast and brusque.

It speaks to me and seems to say
This looks to be the natural way.

Of all the birds that I've seen from Peacocks to Canarys I never taken a picture of one. Yet for some reason I've taken many of Gulls in flight and of course their carrying on. I liked this piece so much that I had to again look at the pictures to see how disgusting they really are... yet their beauty in flight still intrigues me how they float on the currents of the spiritual winds.

I really like this one.  I saw more than seagulls here.  I saw distinct people, and systems of our society.  What powerful words you portray here!  Unfortunately, for many, this is the natural way.  And that's humans, I mean.  To my way of thinking, your seagulls are a magnificent allegory of some humans.

Wow, Wow, Wow... Now I know your not going to believe this but just as RJ was bouncing you to the top of the heap again our daughter came running in who had been cleaning out the garbage bin and expressed her disappointment of some foul who dumped a nice load on her sholder. Could this be a sigh, or am I missing something..?

Hay weight just a minute, I wasn't talking about "gull" friends. I have lot of gulls right here on Passions beach... and things are lookin' pretty peanut buttery sunny here far as i's can tell. Did I miss somethin'..?

The sea gulls have an excuse....they don't know any better. It's the human beings who act like this that I'll never understand. Great poem, Sy!

Awhhhhhhh, my duughter just came in from cleaning the garbage bin stinking to high h***** and she wanted a goodnight kiss. Pluging my nose, I said deary I do hope your taking a bath you smell just like a gull. She informed me that there were just a few more things "they" had to clean, then suddenly I thought of the rest of the gulls. Shees, what an excuse life this has been.
