Call Of Meadowlark
~*Marge Tindal*~

I heard the call of meadowlark
singing on the wind
Listening back I can recall
the melody of friend

Sung with melodic trill
when my heart needed a song
Upon the wind it came to me
bringing memories of you along

Upon the gentle breezes
blowing from the past
Alluring trill of meadowlark
upon my heart is cast

Friendship sung so sweetly
it appears that you are near
Singing you on my heartstrings
bringing thoughts of you to my ear

Marge,

When I first came to passions
Things were heavy on my mind
I didn't have a notion
As to friendship I would find

A cruel disease had left me so
Immobile and confused
Aside from fingers on a keyboard
I couldn't talk and couldn't move

I was greeted with some loving words
Always sweet and kind
It was so much more than poetry
That I had come to find

You were always there beside me
A kind and cheerful friend
With messages of love and warmth
Til I could walk again

Your poems are like music
A meadowlark would sing
But larks don't hold a candle
To the joy your verses bring

Thank you, my dear Margie
For all the love that you impart
You say 'twas I who sang a song
And comforted your heart

I guess that friendship works both ways
We give and we receive
But you have sung me songs so sweet
A lark cannot believe

Love ya
Liz

IrishRose~
Thank you.  These two wonderful people
have inspired me more than I could ever begin to let them know.

Jeffrey~
Friendships are precious.
These two hold a special place
in the heart of this lady.

Elizabeth, my friend~
I can only respond in sobs at your
thoughtfulness.  I often go back through
the archives and gather the sparks of
those 'early' days.
Hard to believe it's only been five months.
Seems our friendships were forged
centuries ago.  And I think they were.

Believe me, dearest one, the thoughts are returned to you.  Guess we've both come
a long way ... and have further still
to go ... together in our hearts.
You touch me with your poetry.

Martie~
Thank you, my friend.
Is it any wonder I love her?
Her heart is so full.
I'm pleased to be within this circle
of friendship.  Holding hands with so
many of you here is the grandest thing.

Cerenity~
Yeah.  That is the way of friends.
Love to you all.

Beautiful poems, Marge and Elizabeth! I have to agree. I think the friendships I have formed here are stronger than any I've ever known!

Ooh, so lovely Marge.  Passions is a remarkable place, isn't it?  It's changed so many lives for the better..a wonderful tribute to friendship you've written here.

Marge,
Forgive me dear it does appear
I've left you in the lurch.
I did not answer right away,
Your beautiful small verse.
I will always be your friend,
Until the very end.

Seymour~
I just wanted to let you and Elizabeth
know the friendships you impart are so
important to me.  Just as the friendships
of all the wonderful people here.
Didn't our gal write the most beautiful
response ... no wonder she's loved so
by us all.
Thank you, my friend.  You two inspired
this one ..... it belongs to both of you.

Mike~
Just this little heart being thankful
for wonderful friends.  Thank you for
those wonderful words ! I do not take
them lightly.

Devina~
You, little one ... are a source of
pure delight.  Friendship has certainly
found you in my heart.
