My mind does play a trick on me-
And tease me with it’s vagaries.
And takes me oft to lands and climes-
In other far and distant times.

Sometimes it seems I wield a blade-
And fighting others is my trade.
It seems so real, so very true…
It’s like a sense of déjà vu.

At times a person meets my view…
I almost say, “Why I know you”!
But I’m aware it is not so-
‘Twas someone else I used to know.

And oft I hear some tale of yore-
And with a sense, I’ve known before…
I nearly say, “’Twas not that way”!
If they ask, “Why”? What will I say.

And so I write my tales in reams-
And others think they are but dreams.
Before you judge, best have a care-
I don’t know how, but I was there.

LOL Gunslinger - I find this is very true
for me.  I am always running into people
I know I knew sometime, somewhere, maybe
in a different lifetime.  But, you are very right, best to keep it to yourself, for most the world doesn't understand these things.

Very well written poem!

Slinger~
I understand this.
I've been there many times.
Wonderful thoughts.

That doesn't happen to me at all. It sounds very exciting. So now I know where you get all your inspiration for those wonderful tales!

With the exception of Denise there (hehe), I think we've all experienced at some time that deja vu.
But if I really told you why you experienced that you probably wouldn't believe me.
It has to do with God and that all souls were with Him before we were here. So it's very possible that veil is being opened ever so slightly.

I can really relate to this GS!
