Candlelight

While candlelight caressed her silken skin,
Translucent shadows flickered in her eyes.
Her words were scarcely heard above the din,
Of racing hearts and plaintive longing sighs.
She touched my hand and held my loving gaze,
Within us burned a raging lover’s fire.
Those lips that glistened with a moistened glaze,
Were met with an explosion of desire.
This quickening of heart and love and mind,
This evidence of love with life imbued,
That with this kiss our love may be defined,
And with our love this man may be renewed.

This memory of how she made me whole,
Indelibly is etched upon my soul.

*SIGH*
*SONNET SIGH*

you got me again
perfection sir,
take care, jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

David2~
This is such a pretty sonnet.
Soft and lilting.
Rolls so easily off the tongue
and falls gently to rest in the heart.
